The Printing Process
Printing and Production With the test prints approved, the print run begins. We closely monitor individual prints for quality and consistency within the edition. Drying time is allowed, after which each print is coated with Premiere Art Print Shield for added protection and enhanced lifespan. Archiving We archive digital files and test prints until a desired print edition number is met or for future printing reference. We also give a CD copy of the final approved and printed file to each client on request. For additional technical information and file preparation, please download our PDF: iolabs Guide to Photographic and Fine Art Printing. In order to ensure that our product is of the highest quality, iolabs uses paper, inks and digital printing methods as prescribed and tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research, the authoritative, independent source for print permanence data and related technical information.
