Using less, saving more, living in our community Since day one, iolabs has taken responsibility for our impact on our community and our environment. By using eco-friendly methods and materials and recycling, we seek to leave a small footprint—and to educate our clients on how they can help us do so. Efficient media usage. We encourage our clients to adjust project sizes to maximize media usage while minimizing cut-off waste. Recycling programs Although we try to avoid cut-off waste, there are always unusable scraps. We also offer a free alternative to the disposal of display boards and media: used panels and cut-off waste are recycled with Recycling for Rhode Island Education, which distributes the scrap to schools and non-profit programs for use in art education. Additionally, iolabs encourages clients to return their used graphic display boards to us instead of throwing them in the dumpster. We’ll put them to use instead of in the landfill. |
Research in earth friendly materials and practices iolabs is always researching alternative products for use in our clients’ projects. We educate our clients on earth-friendly changes we can make to their projects that won’t compromise quality or cost-effectiveness. We also encourage vendors to carry, and manufacturers to create, materials that are environmentally responsible. Community Support iolabs is involved in our local community, both in education and the arts. Through donations of sign and display supplies, promotional materials, sponsorships, and discounts, iolabs promotes the organizations that make a difference in our area.
